Who am I?
My name is Ian Stubbs and I have enjoyed drawing and painting, largely self-taught, for a number of years. I retired in July 2016 and am excited to have joined the OCA programme offering a structured way of developing my practical skills and knowledge as well as a sound theoretical foundation. I also have a passionate interest in the history of art especially the modern and postmodern and the thrilling developments and changes in approach by successive artists in the twentieth century.
I live near Crewe Cheshire UK and am married. Between us my wife and I have 5 children and 6 grandchildren from who I learn so much about freedom and creativity in art.
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once s/he grows up.
